Belize!
This is our first full day in Belize. Unfortunatelly we are just sitting all day in our camping, barely moving…
Why? We have a hangover…
Yesterday we cycled around 50 km.
On the way we made just quick breaks to see Cenote azul and Laguna Milagros.
Our final destination was Corozal, a small town with mexican and belizan architecture. People speak english, spanish and a broken-down version of english from the time of slavery.
After arrival we realised we became a part of somethig important here. The Elections! Due to the amount of celebrating people in the streets, great atmosphere, and happines everywhere we concluded that it was probably a breaking point in history of this city :p
In our camping we met two very funny guys travelling on motorbikes. They had some bottles of whiskey from the Belize/Mexico free zone. So we decided to participate on this election celebrations and now we have our first hangover in Belize.
They have a blog too: www.livedeleven.com
For a few days we are doing a small experiment. We are living on 10 euro per day per person. So far it is working well, we are not starving or dehydratating…
We have spent 1 full month in Mexico and the total we spent was 12,525 mexican pesos, which means 391.50 euro per person. It is not bad but we want to improve!

Might be tough to improve here in Belize…definitely more expensive. Good luck! And have fun on Wed elections…

Elections were fun
we managed to stay quite cheap because people were offering us to put tent in their gardens but food is a lot more expensive here and entrance to anything also. We are not yet successful in staying cheaper ha
